Title:Anticipated Elementary and Intermediate Classroom Teacher

Reports to: Principal

Status: Full-time

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Full-time Elementary (K-3)  classroom teacher (Grade 1) needed to teach in an inclusive classroom with the established subject standards/curriculum. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree

Ohio Certification/Licensure K-3,  

Possess current satisfactory BCI/FBI background checks

Have completed or be willing to complete VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children training

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

DUTIES

Responsible for teaching all core subject areas in an inclusive classroom setting.

 

 

 

 

Title: Anticipated Dean of Students

Reports to: Principal

Status: Full-time

 

The Dean of Students helps bring our Catholic school’s mission to life by guiding students to grow as both saints and scholars. This role involves taking the lead in supporting students' academics, faith, and behavior with care and good judgment. The Dean works closely with the principal, pastor, staff, students, and families to help create a positive and faith-filled school environment.

Top Qualifications:

  • Preferred practicing Catholic and faith-filled person with a valid Ohio teacher or administrator license
  • Teaching and leadership experience within an educational setting
  • Establishes and maintains productive, collaborative relationships with the school community
  • Relates to students to develop a culture of respect, responsibility, and safety

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • ● Promotes the school’s mission and beliefs 
  • ● Leads the school community to develop, teach, and enforce expectations that develop a positive, virtuous school culture 
  • ● Makes decisions concerning and implements student disciplinary actions 
  • ● Prepares and maintains a variety of school, diocesan, state, and federal records and reports 
  • ● Assists in coordinating scholarships, grants, funding, and partnerships that provide students with academic, spiritual, or behavioral development 
  • ● Is an active member of the school advisory council 

Qualities of a Successful Candidate 

  • ● Preferred practicing Catholic and faith-filled person with a valid Ohio teacher or administrator license 
  • ● Teaching and leadership experience within an educational setting, with ability to work with students in preschool through 8th grade
  • ● Self-motivated to obtain results and meet deadlines 
  • ● Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment 
  • ● Excellent organizational, communication, technological, and interpersonal skills 
  • ● Establishes and maintains productive, collaborative relationships with the school community

  • ● Discretion in handling confidential information 
  • ● VIRTUS and Protecting Youth certification (including required FBI/BCI background checks)

General Contract/Benefits 

  • ● Begin full-time employment on August 1, 2025 
  • ● Hired on an 11-month contract
  • ● Insurance and retirement benefits eligible

Hello, my name is Robert Dotson but everyone calls me Bobby. I am the 4th Grade Teacher. I graduated from Ohio Northern University in 2019. While this is my 1st year teaching at St. Rose, this is my 4th year teaching. I perform with a group called the Northwest Ohio Low Brass Collective where I play trombone. In my free time I enjoy weightlifting, cooking, movies, and superheroes.

Hello, My name is Shelby Ruth. I graduated from Bluffton University in Fall of 2023 with a degree in Preschool to 3rd grade education. When not at school, I spend time with my husband and three boys. I enjoy watching them play soccer, t-ball and basketball. I am also a color guard coach for marching band season. I am excited to start the year at St. Rose.
